What is NDIS Price Guide?
Also known as: NDIS Support Catalogue, Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits
The NDIS Price Guide, published with the Support Catalogue, sets the maximum prices registered providers may charge for each support item. It is updated at least annually, usually effective 1 July, and defines item numbers, unit types, price limits by state grouping, and the rules for cancellations, travel and non-face-to-face time.
The Price Guide is a set of maximums, not fixed prices — a provider may charge less, and agency-managed claims cannot exceed the limit. Some items are priced differently for remote and very remote regions.
The companion Support Catalogue is the machine-readable list of item numbers used for claiming. Provider systems should hold the current catalogue and validate every invoice line against it, because a claim above the limit is rejected rather than trimmed.
Mid-year updates happen. A price book that was loaded once at go-live and never refreshed is a slow, silent source of rejected claims.
