Houses, day centres and sites registered as places you can roster against

Not all work is one-to-one in a participant’s home. SIL houses, day centres and respite units are places that are staffed, reported on and audited in their own right, and treating them only as an address on a shift loses that.

Facilities locations — how it works

Register the houses, centres and sites you operate as records in their own right, with their address, contact and type. Shifts can belong to a location rather than only to an individual participant, which is what group programs and SIL rosters actually need.

Because a facility is a record, it can be reported on. What happened at a site, who worked there, and which participants it serves become answerable questions rather than something reconstructed from shifts.

Why it matters for NDIS providers

A provider running SIL houses is running small residential services, each with its own roster, its own participants and its own incidents. Managing them through participant records alone means nobody can answer a question about the house.

  • Places as records: houses, centres and sites registered as first-class objects.
  • Rostered as a location: shifts belong to the site, not only to a participant.
  • Reportable: what happened at a site is a question with an answer.

What's included

  • Facility register. Houses, day centres, respite units and offices with their details.
  • Facility types. SIL, day program, office and others distinguished.
  • Location rostering. Shifts assigned to a place as well as to participants.
  • Site contacts. The person responsible for each location.
  • Reporting by location. Activity and incidents answerable per site.

Who it's for

Providers operating SIL houses, day programs, respite units or multiple offices. It is essential for group-based services and useful to anyone who has more than one site and has been asked a question about one of them.

Getting started

Facilities & Locations is included in your Rostery plan and works the moment your data is in — there is no separate module to buy or set up. Book a demo and we will show it on your own workflows, and use Rostery's “Smart Switch” data migration to bring your existing clients, staff, shifts and notes across from your current software in minutes.

Why teams love Facilities & Locations

Houses, centres and sites

Register the places you operate as first-class records.

Rostered as a place

Shifts belong to the location, not only to an individual participant.

Reportable

Ask what happened at a site, not just what happened for a person.

Sites you can actually manage

A house is a record with a roster, not four addresses that match.

Questions about a place have answers

Activity and incidents reportable by location.

Facilities & Locations — questions

A client’s address is a field on their record. A facility is a record in its own right: it can be rostered against, staffed, reported on and associated with several participants at once. A SIL house with four residents is one facility, not four addresses that happen to match.
